I greatly appreciated the article, particularly how it states how the divisions in Anglicanism are very long established. The Media, and no doubt the "progressives" seem to think it is only since the General Synod. Repeated provocations have been tolerated, unhappily and reluctantly no doubt. What is amazing is that the liberals are surprised at the move to the SCAC when this pattern has been repeated again and again all around the world. What is surprising is why it took so long. Well done Tony.

I agree having written a few weeks ago about only two religions - grace vs self justification, I think it still applies. As a fully fledged sinner, my only hope is God's Grace and that gives us the freedom and power to live this life and the next. There is no other way God truth comes new and fresh everyday. The more I read scripture the more I see reality and it is God's word alone not made up rants

Well written Tony - this is all so sad, but tragically it is also 100% true. I think it is also true that God in his word has told that this would happen. For example, we see it in Jeremiah as Jeremiah is heavily persecuted for steadfastly proclaiming God's truth. We see it in Jesus as he proclaims God's truth in the face of the Pharisees and religious leaders who continually mock and attack him. The pattern is sadly continued in the early Church, as faithful men and women were mocked and criticised for standing firm in what God says is right and good and true.
