During lockdown I have enjoyed hearing the Bible read aloud to me from the ESV on the dailyoffice2019.com site. Listening attentively forces a similar slow down and stops me skimming over the text. It’s been a joy to hear/notice things I have previously missed as a result.
I agree. Another activity that might improve your "reading speed" is poetry. Thanks very much for telling me the Payneful Truth.

Indeed! And for those of us have some Greek, but can't read fluently and quickly, it works too!

Yes, listening to the text has its own (slightly different) rewards! When I'm on the train I often find listening easier than reading. Thanks Philip.
