After living in Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians an awful lot over the last three years, I have realized two things—first, I’ve been living in Corinth for most of my life; and second, with God’s help, I hope to live a Corinthian life till I die.
Hey Tony. Really appreciated your commentary this morning as I try and catch up. A great blessing as we seek to serve even though 'we are not fit to serve'. Thank the Lord for Christ crucified. Christ brought me to himself through the preaching of 1 Corinthians 1-4 through a fellow who's initials are TD. He nailed it like you did.
As usual enjoyed this talk/read. I particularly found helpful, challenging your thoughts about Easter Saturday, and looking forward to the resurrection on Sunday. Personally speaking, I think for myself at times its easy to feel perhaps a bit like the disciples did on that first Saturday; they'd seen the cross but were yet to see the resurrection. I imagine as they huddled together on that Saturday in that upper room there was no hope and bucket loads of despair. It was good to be reminded of the light and joy and hope that the resurrection brings. Thanks - keep up the good work
