Please allow me to say that your theological definition of love negates the true love that a non-believer has. Of course a non-believer cannot have true agape love but nevertheless as with all humanity is gifted with the capacity to love.
Timothy Keller said something I recently came across that I think is relevant to agape love: "There are two ways to live. My life for you, or my life for me." The former encapsulates the love of Christ.
